Social Media Community Guidelines

The Oak Spring Garden Foundation is dedicated to inspiring and facilitating public dialogue on the history and future of plants, including the culture of gardens and landscapes and the importance of plants for human well-being. Our social media pages help us to promote this dialogue with a diverse community of people who share our love for plants and the natural world. We’d love for you to join the conversation!

To foster a positive, inclusive, and vibrant space for online discourse, we ask that users visiting our social media pages treat each other with dignity and respect at all times. We reserve the right to delete any of the following types of content from our feeds, and block users who share such content:

• Violent, obscene, profane, hateful or racist posts, links, or images.

• Comments or messages that threaten or defame any person or organization.

• Comments or messages that are misleading, false, or otherwise constitute a spread of misinformation.

• Deliberate provocation of other community members, or other forms of intentional trolling.

• Comments or messages that encourage illegal activity.

• Advertisements, solicitations for business, or related content.

• Repetitive or off-topic comments.
