A critical part of the Oak Spring Garden Foundation's mission is to foster knowledge among young leaders in the fields of horticulture, plant science and garden research. This month, we are very excited to welcome our first gardening interns from the School of Professional Horticulture! We first met them for an orientation at Oak Spring in November, which you can read about here.

Over the past two months, we have also hosted six interns from Yale-NUS College and Sewanee: The University of the South. These students came to Oak Spring during their spring breaks for a week-long program of research and writing about botanical artists whose work is represented in the Oak Spring Garden Library. The interns had access to our Library's rare books, manuscripts and reference materials, which they used to write short pieces that will be featured on OSGF's forthcoming page on the Google Cultural Institute and beyond! You can also read about one of the researched artists here.
