Plant Exploration in the Age of Jefferson

The collections of the Oak Spring Garden Foundation are especially strong in botanical and horticultural literature from the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. Comparison of the Oak Spring holdings with the catalogue of the Library of Thomas Jefferson indicates over thirty volumes that are either identical in both libraries--or that are represented by different editions of the same book. This video highlights some of these shared volumes.
