Katharine Perkin

GIS Data Systems Manager

Katharine Perkin is the GIS Data Systems Manager at OSGF. Katharine manages the Geographic Information Science (GIS) deployment for the Foundation which keeps track of everything spatially related. Katharine develops integrated GIS solutions for multiple departments to enhance efficiency and collaboration across the Foundation. A Northern Virginia native, Katharine graduated magna cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in Geography with a minor in Environmental Science from George Mason in Fairfax Virginia in 2023. In 2027, Katharine will be graduating from George Mason with her Master of Science in Geoinformatics and Geospatial Intelligence.


When not studying or working, Katharine enjoys traveling for art and architecture, playing with her cat Maybell and learning new craft techniques like basket weaving. Her favorite tree is the American paw paw, Asimina trilobal, and her favorite animal is the Virginia opossum, Didelphis virginiana.
