Thomas Bardroff is a Gardener at OSGF. He first joined the team in December 2021 as a Garden Apprentice before becoming a Gardener in February 2023.
Originally from Baltimore, MD, Thomas graduated with an A.A.S. in Landscape Gardening from Sandhills Community College in 2020. He has interned at Plant Delights Nursery in Raleigh, NC and Moore Farms Botanical Garden in Lake City, SC. At Oak Spring, Thomas helps maintain the formal garden, formal glasshouse, production glasshouse, and cut flower garden. In his free time, Thomas enjoys hiking, playing guitar, journaling, reading, pressing flowers, exploring, and sleeping. His favorite plants are bald cypress (Taxodium distichum), great white trillium (Trillium grandiflorum), zinnia (Zinnia elegans), Japanese maple (Acer palmatum), and saucer magnolia (Magnolia x soulangeana).
