Carter Hulinsky

Metadata Librarian and Special Collections Cataloger

Carter Hulinsky is a Metadata Librarian and Special Collections Cataloger at the Oak Spring Garden Foundation. He holds a Master of Science in Library Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Before joining Oak Spring in September 2023, Carter gained experience through internships at the Smithsonian’s Archives of American Gardens and Duke University Libraries. At Oak Spring, he focuses on enhancing the discoverability and accessibility of the library’s collections through the online catalog and other digital platforms. Outside of work, Carter enjoys tending his home garden and browsing antique shops for hidden treasures. His favorite wildflower is the Virginia bluebell (Mertensia virginica).
